I really haven’t been in the blogging mindset the last couple of days.  I want to do another “About Me” post once I get enough questions, I just haven’t had much else to post about.  This is still pretty new and honestly, not the top priority for me right now.  For today, go read these awesome posts from some friends.

You may have noticed this is a completely new site.  I’ve moved off of blogspot and got my own domain with wordpress.  It’s verrr nic-uhh. 

More changes are to come.  This theme is temporary.  I will slowly be changing this into rockin new theme with my own work and tweaks added.  I also have some new content ideas.  I’m going to start adding my Sunday Setlists every weekend.  I will most likely start including video of at least song performance from that weekend as well.   I’m also thinking about continuing my “Who Am I” series until y’all’ve learned everything you want to know about me…and probably some you don’t. (yes, y’all’ve IS a word…don’t dispute me!)  I’d like to get the weekly picchallenge off the ground as well.  We’ll see where this things goes. 

Here’s what I need from you.  I need a title.  JHGagle.com is so boring.  I need something kinda catchy.  Maybe eventually I’ll take over a new domain with my catchy title.  I also need suggestions.  If something on this site doesn’t work, let me know.  If you’d like to see something on here content-wise, let me know.  If you have a question about something on here, let me know.  If you think you should be on my blogroll, let me know.  I think you get the picture.  One last thing, well, maybe two things.  One, send me your questions.  Anything you’d like to know about me.  I will answer it at least semi-seriously, just post your questions on the previous “Who Am I?” post.  Last thing, if you like what you see here?  Let me know and let your friends know.  Send em my link.  Secretly add it to their RSS reader.  Do what you have to.

Ok, here it is. I’ve been sitting on this blog for a while now. I started writing as a portal for my family to see everything going on in my world. That lasted two days. I finally bought my domain for my music and photography and to pretty much replace this, but if you clicked on that little link there, you’ll see how far that’s come. I have a lot on my plate right now and REALLY want to get my blog started up, so I am going to just start writing here and will transfer the posts over when that time comes.

Here’s what I need. A gimmick.

Just kidding, to motivate me and give me a cause for writing, I am going to take the lead of my new friend InWorship who was prodded by his wife InProgress also known as Brent and Tam Hodge. If you don’t know who they are, go check ‘em out!

I digress.

I am going to schedule topics for myself each day to at least give myself something to write about, something that’s important to me. Here’s what I’m thinking:

Monday – Weekend Update. Just a recap of the goings on of my life on the weekend. Will also include Sunday Setlists (if I’m playing that Sunday)

Tuesday – Techie Tuesday. Since my actual job is in computers and I’m a gadget geek, this will be my opportunity to put in my $.02 on what’s exciting/frustrating in technology and gadgetry

Wednesday – I don’t know yet…probably just a grab bag of whatever I feel like posting. If you have a suggestion or request, let me know!

Thursday – Arts – I don’t have a catchy name yet, but this will be a art oriented post. Either something I’ve written or heard, a picture I’ve taken, something I’ve designed, or something else along those lines.

Friday – Family Friday – an update of what my family has been up to, parenting ideas/issues, family stuff.

Now this doesn’t mean that I will only post those 5 times a week. (Even though that would still be a MAJOR improvement) This is just giving me a guidline to help me post more often. I will still try and throw in a few random posts here and there. I will probably kick this whole thing off on Monday. Use that time to make any suggestions and let me know what you think. I will be doing A LOT of work on the blog over the weekend and will kick things off with a new blogroll and probably a new theme as well.

Hopefully I can start things off right this time!
